I have used a bunch of different mats and buckets in the past and have not been a fan. Lately, fly line tangles have been driving me nuts, so I figured I would try the SFC mat. I've now used it 3 times and it's worked like an absolute charm. Keeps the line on the boat and significantly cuts down on the number of tangles. I think the softness of the spikes and the varying sizes is what really makes a difference in comparison to some of the other mats that I've used and the shape of it works really well if you have a casting platform. Great product!
The Fly Line Mat-30” was an instant improvement on my skiff, It is versatile for right or left handers and different angle and strengths of the wind. Love how it conforms to any contour instantly. A true game changer here in the windy Outer Banks of NC.

After experimenting with all types of fly line organization methods (even other mats) I always found an issue with them. Buckets were too bulky and took up too much space, deck spikes got deformed over time and did not look good, other fly mats got discolored and spikes also bent out whenever you’d store them in a hatch. The super fly Mat I’m pleased to say has not done that and has exceeded my expectations. I can roll it up and throw it in a hatch and when I pull it out the spikes look perfect. Highly recommend

A great mat from SFC which provides the flexibility of where and when you use it and size of pegs. I can move to suit wind direction while moving along a bank. No more missed shots trying to retrieve my line that's slipped off the deck and dragging through the water.

Took a chance on this when an old mat turned "gooey". The customizability of this mat as far as size, peg size, and color is awesome. The best part for me is the shape allows me to move it to different strategic locations around the skiff depending on how the boat lays on anchor, wind, etc. As someone who fishes solo alot this is invaluable. But even better than the use of the mat is the service that Mark and Mason provide. They decided that the first round of mats didn't work to their standards and not only replaced the original, but went out of their way to do it on a timeline that had the new mat to me before my next trip. The mat looks good, works good, and the people are great!

As a full-time fishing guide, I am constantly trying perfect my business and find new products to make things more efficient for myself and my clients. The Fly Line Mat by SFC has definitely been a game changer when it’s on the bow of skiff or bay boat to keep the fly line from blowing overboard when the wind is blowing and also to keep tangles out of the fly line when casting.
